Who We Are

Mindy Berman established Mindy F. Berman Communications, a writing and public relations/marketing firm, in 1997 – after more than a decade of experience in a variety of business and government communications positions. Under her direction, the firm makes available a “virtual team” of other communications specialists, sponsorship acquisition experts, photographers and graphic artists to meet all of your communications needs in a cost-effective manner.

During her career, Mindy has dealt with virtually every facet of public relations, public affairs and marketing communications in business, government and nonprofit fields.

Specifically, she has written and edited all manner of materials, ranging from press releases and fact sheets; to articles, newsletters, brochures and annual reports; to speeches and video scripts; and more. She also has coordinated scores of highly effective events and has created and implemented many quantifiably successful communications and strategic planning programs and initiatives.

Industry Experience

Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP)

Public Affairs Coordinator: Represented LADWP to the news media and employees in many forums, and developed and managed public information programs to obtain support for LADWP projects.

Marketing and Strategic Planning Coordinator: Managed marketing and strategic planning activities for LADWP’s Electric Transportation Program.

Business Planning Analyst: Analyzed market conditions and helped develop strategic planning initiatives.

California State University, Northridge

Interim News Bureau Director: Handled news media outreach and response for the university, and managed preparation of university newspaper.

CommSciences, Inc.

Managing Director: Provided communications consulting to clients, supervised research projects, and oversaw preparation of research materials and client reports.
